This past weekend, one of my Bible Study girls from Meredith got married! Lauren was in a Bible Study I lead though Campus Crusade. I remember talking about my wedding plans, etc (Dave and I were engaged) with my bible study girls and now they are getting married! I was so happy to be a part of her day by making her wedding and groom's cake. Here are a few pics....

Lauren sent me a picture of her mother's veil (which Lauren wore) and asked me to re-create the lace on the veil. It was difficult, but she really liked how it turned out! It is piped on with roayl icing. The most difficult thing was coloring the icing Navy. I cannot find Navy food coloring so I have to mix various amount of blue, violet and black to get Navy. |

The cake stand is also Lauren's. I think it turned out perfect for a two-tiered cake. The flavors: bottom - white almond; top-lemon pound cake. |

You can't go to a Meredith girl's wedding without taking a Meredith girl picture! |

Lauren sent me a picture of the groom's motorcycle. I was a little, well a lot, nervous about this cake. I thought I was going to have to make it flat (one dimensional) and cut out the fondant to make the motorcyle. As I started, I just didn't like the look of it soooo I spent hours making this mini replica. I blew up the little emblem that is on his bike to make it a little more personal. Everything is edible and this cake is a yellow butter cake. |
That motorcycle is amazing! Great cakes!
